Alara began with a simple but powerful observation from our founder, a practicing dentist: ordering dental supplies was far more stressful and time-consuming than it needed to be.

Like many others, she spent countless hours each week juggling vendor logins, chasing discounts, and worrying about overpaying or running out of critical supplies, all while trying to care for patients and run a practice.

Determined to create a better way, our founder teamed up with engineers, designers, and fellow clinicians to build Alara: a platform that brings all vendors into one place, simplifies the process, and saves practices both time and money.

The name Alara, inspired by the Radiology principle “as low as reasonably achievable”, reflects our commitment to helping practices lower their costs, stress, and wasted time to the minimum.

Today, Alara serves practices nationwide, staying true to the vision that started it all: giving dentists the tools they deserve to run their practices more efficiently and focus on what truly matters: their patients.
